Medium Density Fiberboard

Patterns and short run direct molds made with MDF have proven to be a very economical solution to many general purpose composite applications. MDF is normally coated with a primer and sanded but may also be polished to a class “A” finish. If fine detail is required in areas, CTS Composites can incorporate tooling board inserts. This hybrid system allows for fine detail to be replicated without adding significant cost to the program.
